Vanessa has lived in Reno most of her life, and loves its desert and mountainous regions. At an early age she knew she loved teaching and she earned a Bachelors of Secondary Education and a Masters in Elementary Education. She has 23 years of teaching experience and has had the opportunity to teach at many levels and a variety of subjects. She is a good tutor because she cares for her students and enjoys helping them succeed as they overcome their obstacles.

Her greatest challenge thus far has been taking care of her 3 children when they were all under two years of age. She is happy they are all school age now!

In her free time she loves spending time with her family, and serving her community.
