Dr. Nichole Truax has served as an educator for 25 plus years. Her many roles include Secondary Social Studies Teacher, HS Dean, MS and ES Assistant Principal, ES Principal, Student Voice Consultant and College Instructor. During her ten-year tenure as Principal at Florence Drake Elementary School in Sparks, NV she led her Title One school from a low performing Targeted School for Improvement to a High Performing School which received a Blue Ribbon Award in 2022. The only Title One School in WCSD to ever receive this honor.

In addition to Nichole’s passion for education, Nichole promotes health, well-being, and life-balance. She has brought this passion to others as a yoga instructor. She also enjoys outdoor activities with her family.

Other accomplishments include; 2018 Washoe County School District Elementary Principal of the Year and author of a children’s book, Magical Mama published by LaRue Press.
