Andrew Moriarty is a freelance writer and a former teacher.
After graduating from college, Andrew taught English and Language Arts at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee for three years, before beginning graduate work at Purdue University, where he also taught introductory composition classes for first-year students. As a teacher, he focused heavily on one-on-one coaching and student-centered learning.
Andrew (temporarily) left education to pursue an opportunity working in federal policy advocacy, and has been continuing in that work for more than nine years.
Having lived in Reno as a child, and being able to return with his growing family in recent years, Andrew is excited to return to education and hopes to share his training and real-world experiences to help students succeed.
