Nick Sabatino
Director
Nick Sabatino brings over a decade of leadership, operations, and strategic planning experience to the Boosted Diplomas board. As a former U.S. Army infantry officer, Nick has a proven track record of leading large organizations in complex and demanding environments. Nick’s military service instilled in him a deep appreciation for hard work, discipline, and leadership.
Now an attorney at a global law firm, Nick advises a variety of clients, including boards and management, in complex distressed situations. He has been consistently recognized for his commitment to pro bono work, dedicating significant time each year to assisting non-profits, including those focused on veterans' issues and advancing educational opportunities.
A graduate of Galena High School and the University of Nevada, Reno, Nick returned to Reno after completing his Army service and law school. Being married to a school counselor who has worked at multiple Title I schools, Nick has gained a greater understanding of the significant challenges facing students in the community, particularly foster and at-risk youth. This perspective, combined with his desire to make a meaningful impact in his hometown, drew him to the mission of Boosted Diplomas. Based in part on his experiences both at home and in Afghanistan, Nick believes deeply in the transformative power of education and is eager to apply his leadership and problem-solving skills to help ensure more students have the tools and support they need to succeed.
In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, running, hiking, and spending time with his wife, friends, and dog.
