Annalisa Childs

Educational Advocate

Master’s in Educational Administration, Bachelor’s in Elementary Education

Annalisa Childs began her career with the Washoe County School District (WCSD) in 1994. Over the course of her 28-year tenure, she held a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, Instructional Coach, and Administrator, serving at multiple school sites across the district. After retiring from WCSD in 2021, Annalisa continued her commitment to education by joining Truckee Meadows Community College in 2022 as the Fostering College Success Advocate.
Throughout her 31-year career in education, Annalisa has positively impacted thousands of students, from early childhood through college, providing support tailored to their diverse needs. Her dedication to student success has been the driving force of her professional journey.
A Nevada native, Annalisa relocated from Carson City to Reno in 1986. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. She cherishes time with her husband, five children, and their families.
