With over 20 years of dedicated service in the Washoe County School District as an elementary teacher and teacher leader, Sophia Franz has spent her career shaping futures and supporting students, families, and educators.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Sophia’s lifelong passion for teaching extends far beyond the traditional classroom. Today, as an educational advocate with Boosted Diplomas, Sophia focuses entirely on providing personalized, one-on-one support. Her primary mission is helping foster children and at-risk youth bridge the gap to high school graduation, ensuring every student has the dedicated guidance they need to succeed.
A longtime resident of the Reno/Sparks area, Sophia lives near Verdi, Nevada, with her husband. Outside of her work with students, she loves spending time with her husband and four adult children—whether they are cooking together, hiking, playing pickle ball, or taking their dog on sunrise walks.
